Exposure Controls/Personal Protection
【Personal Protection】Eyes: Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety ggles as described by OSHA's eye and face protection regulations in 29 CFR 1910.133 or European Standard EN166. Skin: Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure. Clothing: Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure.
【Respirators】A respiratory protection program that meets OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.134 and ANSI Z88.2 requirements or European Standard EN 149 must be followed whenever workplace conditions warrant a respirator's use.
【Exposure Effects】Effects may be delayed.
Fire Fighting Measures
【Fire Fighting】Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. Water runoff can cause environmental damage. Dike and collect water used to fight fire. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. Containers may explode when heated. Combustible material; may burn but does not ignite ily. Water hydrolyzes material liberating acidic gas which in contact with metal surfaces can generate flammable and/or explosive hydrogen gas. Extinguishing media: Do NOT use water directly on fire. Use foam, dry chemical, or carbon dioxide. DO NOT USE WATER! In case of fire, use carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder or appropriate foam.
【Fire Potential】Non-combustible, substance itself does not burn but may decompose upon heating to produce corrosive and/or toxic fumes.
Accidental Release Measures
【Small spills/leaks】Sweep up, then place into a suitable container for disposal. Provide ventilation. Do not get water inside containers.
Stability and Reactivity
【Incompatibilities】Oxidizing agents, bases, alcohols, amines, steel, moisture.
【Stability】Stable, however may violently decompose at temperatures above 125 C.
【Decomposition】Hydrogen chloride, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen bromide, nitrogen, chloride fumes.
【Combustion Products】Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases.
