Exposure Controls/Personal Protection
【Personal Protection】Eyes: Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety ggles as described by OSHA's eye and face protection regulations in 29 CFR 1910.133 or European Standard EN166. Skin: Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure. Clothing: Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure.
【Respirators】Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Always use a NIOSH or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator when necessary.
Fire Fighting Measures
【Flash Point】75
【Fire Fighting】Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. To extinguish fire use water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, or chemical foam. Use agent most appropriate to extinguish fire.
【Fire Potential】Non-combustible, substance itself does not burn but may decompose upon heating to produce corrosive and/or toxic fumes.
Accidental Release Measures
【Small spills/leaks】Vacuum or sweep up material and place into a suitable disposal container. Reduce airborne dust and prevent scattering by moistening with water. Clean up spills immediately, using the appropriate protective equipment. Provide ventilation.
Stability and Reactivity
【Disposal Code】3
【Stability】Stable at room temperature in closed containers under normal storage and handling conditions.
【Incompatibilities】Strong oxidizing agents, strong bases, amines, strong acids, ammonia, iron, and iron salts. Explosive reaction with aliphatic alcohols, benzylamine, and hydrazine hydrate.
【Decomposition】Hydrogen chloride, chlorine, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.
【Combustion Products】Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases.
